Born November 22, 1932 in Spearman Tex., and passed March 29, 2009 in Auburn Calif.
Charlene grew up in Roseville Calif., and attended Roseville High School. She enjoyed Gardening, cooking, shopping and was an avid walker.
Survived by her children; Mike (Akiko) Garland, Janis Garland, Steve (Linda) Garland, Cindy (Bill) Simon, John Garland, and her grandchildren, Joey Hurley, Eric Temple, Robert and Kimiko Garland, Danielle, Dara and Derek Simon, Sherri (JR) Rubidoux, Larry Mc Intosh and Rhiannon Garrison and three great-grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Robert Garland.
Charlene was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she is loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 1 p.m. Portuguese Hall, Newcastle, CA.
