Funeral services for Selmer Bjornstad, 64, will be conducted at 11 o'clock this forenoon, Thursday, September 12, 1974 at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, with the Rev. Robert Sullivan pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, in charge of the final rites. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Bjornstad passed away Tuesday, September 10, 1974 at the Veteran's Hospital in Madison, where he was admitted two weeks ago. He had been ill for several weeks and underwent major surgery last May in Eau Claire.

The deceased was born January 1, 1910 in Owen, where he had lived ever since. He graduated from the Owen grad and high school, was a veteran of World War II, and worked at the Frederick Post Plant until his retirement in 1972.

He never married, but is survived by a brother, Arthur of Cadott and a sister, Mrs. Donald (Alyce) Amerling of Flint Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
