ST.PETERS,MO--Della Faye Starrett, 99, St. Peters, passed away April 23, 2012 at Villages of St. Peters, St. Peters, Missouri after a brief illness. She was born January 30, 1913 in Anderson, IN, and resided in Anderson most of her life. Della retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors. She was a member of Madison Park Church of God.
She is survived by her two children; brother, Russell; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jim.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Starrett on May 15, 1996; parents, Willis and Leora (Brown) Ashby; infant daughter, Pamela Starrett; and siblings, Ethel McCrory, Everett Ashcy, Halford Ashby, Nellie Smith, Annabelle Broadwater, Kenneth Ashby, Samuel Ashby, Donna Spoo, Jessie Ashby, and Dessie Ashby.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson. Services will be Friday, April 27, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Jim Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
