Anita Gwendolyn McDonald Harrison was the 1st daughter and the 3rd child of Walter Blaine "Red" McDonald and Othello Gwendolen Shoup McDonald. She married Robert Carroll "Bobby" Harrison, son of Floyd Arthur Harrison and Mary Bertha Weaver Harrison, on Aug. 9, 1960 in Oceanport, NJ, Monmouth Co. They had 1 son and 2 daughters.

Anita McDonald Harrison, 57, self-employed musician and piano teacher for 39 years, died Saturday (19 Dec 1998) in a local hospital.
Services will be at 1 pm Tuesday (22 Dec 1998) in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. Bob Allen and Kelly Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Harrison was born in Abilene and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University. She married Bob Harrison in 1960 in Fort Monmouth, NJ. she was a member of Abilene and Texas Music Teachers Association. Music Teachers National Association and First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one son, Nathan Harrison of Abilene; two daughters, Melody Birdwell of Beaumont and Katie McCullough of Abilene; and two grandchildren.
