CHILLICOTHE: Jack Lee Eblin, 87, of Chillicothe, died 6:34 p.m., April 17, 2012, at the Adena Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 21, 1924 in Chillicothe to John and Evah Kuhn Eblin. On June 13, 1946 he married Dazel I. Eblin, who died April 17, 1989.

Survivors include his son, Jack Eblin Jr., of Chillicothe; two brothers, Keith and Johnny Eblin, and a sister, Sandra.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell, and sisters, Evelyn, Margaret, Lula, Ludosha, and Janis.

Mr. Eblin retired from the Mead Paper Company in 1986. He was a US Army Veteran, served in the 400th A.F.A., European Theatre, and was awarded a Purple Heart.

Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to the VA Medical Center or the church of your choice. His online memorial register is available at www.HallerFuneralHome.com.
