Bakersfield California - Nov. 25, 1946
"ROGERS, EMMA MARGARET - Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Margaret Rogers, 71, of 1115 Grace street, who died Saturday in a local hospital, were to be held at 2 p.m. today in the Hopson Mortuary, with Reverend B.C. Barrett officiating. Burial was to be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A native of Scott county, Ark., Mrs. Rogers, a member of the First Baptist Church of Bakersfield, had resided here 33 years. Survivng are five sons, C.R., L.H., R.V. and J.R. all of Bakersfield, and W.E. Rogers of San Francisco; five daughters, Maude O. Stancliff of Oakland and Mrs. Ava Shirley Fair of Tacoma, Wash.; two brothers, C.F. and A.J. Ross, both of Oklahoma; four sisters, Pearl Simpson of Bellflower, Mrs. Clara Haines of San Gabriel, Mrs. Mary Wonbacker of Long Beach and Mrs. Leana Weaver of Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren"
