Adam J. Longo, 31, of Casper died suddenly April 18, 2012.

He was born in Cody on March 4, 1981, the son of Mark and Darlene Risdon Longo. He grew up in Cody and graduated from Cody High School in 1999.

Adam attended Casper College and received a degree in Criminal Justice in 2002. While at Casper College he met his wife Jennifer, the love of his life. They married in June 2004 and had been "loving each other more" ever since.

After graduating, Adam joined the Wyoming Highway Patrol. His first duty station was in Jackson. After 18 months Adam transferred back to Casper where he worked for WHP several more years.

In late 2009 he returned to Casper College to pursue a second degree in Fire Science while working for CK Mechanical. By early 2011, Adam had received his EMT-B certification and began working for the Wyoming Medical Center Ambulance Service.

In July 2011 he began his career as a firefighter with the Natrona County Fire Protection District, which was a true passion and calling in his life.

Adam enjoyed weight lifting and spent time each year coaching Special Olympics athletes. He was also an avid hunter, fisherman, model railroader and gun collector. He loved his dogs Trooper and Hunter and often worked with them in bird dog training, as well as horseplay at the house.

Adam had an amazing ability with people, gaining the respect and admiration of those around him. He could easily make people laugh and was always there in times of need. His genuine, loving personality impacted all who knew him and touched their lives forever.

He found great happiness in spending time with friends and family, and loved doing anything from going out for lunch to spending time at the family cabin on Casper Mountain to playing Call of Duty. Adam was a remarkable person and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Jennifer, dogs Trooper and Hunter, mother-in-law Cathy, father-in-law Rob, and sister-in-law Jessica, all of Casper, father Mark of Cody, brothers Mike and Chris of Minnesota and Jeremiah of Laramie, sisters Rachel and Olivia of Cody, grandmother Margaret of New York, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews in Wyoming, Minnesota and New York.

He was preceded in death by his mother Darlene and grandfather Joe.
