Francis J. Churchville, Sr., 87 of Farmington, beloved husband of the late Theresa (Corrigan) Churchville, passed away peacefully Saturday (March 19, 2005) at John Dempsey Hospital Farmington. Francis was born March 9, 1918 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Frank P. and Marie (Burns) Churchville. Francis was a Corporal in the United States Army during World War II, honorable discharged in 1946 at which time he moved to Hartford where he resided until 1956 then moved to Farmington. Francis was a retired supervisor for the Arrow, Hart & Hegeman Company which later became the Cruise Hindse Industries. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church Farmington and a member of its men's club. Francis will be missed but not forgotten by his two daughters; Margaret Orvis and her husband James of Plainville and Patricia Churchville of New Britain; a son Francis J. Churchville, Jr. and his wife Margery of Farmington: two granddaughters, Theresa Padala and her husband Timothy of Avon and Leona Shivji and her husband Karim of Bristol: five great grandchildren Triona and Teagan Padala of Avon, Jennifer, Shaun and Alisha Shivji of Bristol. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 23, at 10 a.m. directly in St. Patrick's Church, 110 Main St., Farmington. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery Garden St., Farmington.
