Grace Delores Knudson was born January 5, 1922 on her parent's farm southeast of Viborg, SD. She died April 15, 2012 at Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home in Viborg at the age of 90 years.
Grace was raised in the Viborg area and attended Hillcrest School #56. She married Berdell Knudson on June 25, 1941 at her parent's home. The couple lived in the rural Wakonda and Centerville areas. Berdell passed away in 2006 and Grace continued to live in Centerville until moving to the Pioneer Memorial Home where she resided until the present time.
Grace was baptized and was a member of First Baptist Church in Centerville where she was active in American Baptist Women. She also enjoyed her duties and a member Faith Chapter and School and the Lennox Day Center.
Survivors include her son Doyle Knudson and wife Rachel of Paradise Valley, AZ, two grandsons, Jace Knudson and Tony Knudson of Paradise Valley, AZ, sister Phyllis Kerr and husband Fred of Tuscon, AZ, sister-in-law Ardis Jensen of Albert Lea, MN, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Berdell Knudson, daughter Julie Knudson, two sisters, Marian Jensen and Thelma McAthie, and two brothers, Oliver Jensen and Donald Jensen
Funeral services will be 10:00AM Friday, April 20, 2012 at Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, Centerville.
Visitation with family present will be Thursday from 5PM to 7PM at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville.
