Alex is named as the son of Emma Buls In Joachim's will dated 28 Nov 1892. He was left $500 to be received when he reached his majority. Joachim and Dorathea are actually his grandparents. On the 1925 census it is recorded that Emma Buls is his mother and he did not know who his father was. Also, Joachim's obituary in the Waverly Democrat lists his 5 children...Anna, Gustav, William, Otto, and Emma.
