Eva Mae Patterson was James & Martha Watkins daughter. She married James Patterson. Their son was one of few from Council Grove who died in WWI. His name was Loy Alva Patterson They also had a daughter Erma Floy, and Halley (boy) who only lived to be one.
James, Eva's father, was the largest land owner in the town of Council Grove, a sheriff there in 1880, share holder of Farmers and Drovers Bank, with the Masonic, and part owner of Commercial Hotel which was in the town in the late 1880's.
The Springer Family, Fiegley, McLoon married into the family.

Addition: Erma Floy (born March of 1893 in Council Grove) graduated from Council Grove High School. She lived with her grandparents, James & Martha Watkins.
