Nicholas J Bogardus, 86, of Sugar Lake died Sept 27, 1960 in the Meadville Hospital after an illness of several weeks.
Born at Black Ash Nov 8, 1873, he was the son of Timothy & Elizabeth Clark Bogardus. He married Lana Strawbridge Dec 27, 1900. She preceded him in death in 1945. Mr Bogardus was a lifelong resident of Randolph & Wayne Twps. He was a menber of the Farmers Alliance of Sugar Lake and had retired from farming 10 years ago.
He is survived by the following children: D.J. Bogardus, Mrs John Ashworth & George Bogardus, all of Guys Mill, Theodore Bogardus of Berea,OH; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Anna Strawbridge of Rocky Grove & Mrs Nellie Webster of Black Ash.
