He enlisted Dec 14, 1917 in San Francisco, California. He was sent to Presidio, California and assigned to Battery A, 62nd Coast Artillery Corps.
He embarked overseas 7/14/1918. He returned as a casualty to Camp Sherman, Ohio.
He was then transferred to Camp Wadsworth, SC where he died of Tuberculosis 4/14/1919.
