Eldora Herald; Thursday morning at 2 o'clock Rosamond Starr, of Jackson township, after a long sickness passed to the other shore. She was born in Ambors county, Old Virginia, Sept. 28, 1811. She moved to Tennessee in 1819 and to Illinois in 1828 and was married to Barnett Starr March 14, 1830. She was the mother of ten children, eight of whom with her aged companion survive her. Had she lived until the 14th of the present month the length of her married life would have been sixty-nine years. The funeral was held at the Berlin church.
