Meriam L. "Minnie" Musselman, 83, formerly of Frankstown, died Thursday evening at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Canoe Creek, daughter of the late Ross and Virgie (Leamer) Merritts. She married Ira Musselman on June 24, 1946, in Cumberland, Md., and he died Aug. 12, 1966.

Surviving are three children: I. David and wife, Shirley, of Hollidaysburg, Jay A. of Claysburg and Vickie Snyder and husband, James, of Hollidaysburg; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandsons; and two brothers: Ross "Whitie" and Thomas.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Minnie was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, and a member of the former Frankstown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren, her family, playing bingo and her kittens.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg (www.sorgefuneralhome.com), where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012. Interment will be at New Canoe Creek Cemetery.
