FORT WORTH -- Leila Elizabeth Franklin Due, 85, died Tuesday, August 8, 2006. Funeral: 4 p.m. Friday at Thompson's Harveson and Cole Funeral Home, Dr. Mark Wood, officiating. The family will greet guests beginning at 3 p.m.
Friday at the funeral home. Additional services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at Rocky Mount Methodist Church in Ringold, Louisiana, Rev. George Rogers, officiating. Burial: Rocky Mount Cemetery in Ringold.
Memorials: Her memory may be honored with the sponsoring of a Bible thru Gideon International, Stephenville Camp Box 76, Stephenville, Texas 76401.
Leila Elizabeth Franklin was born Dec. 6, 1920 in Elm Grove, Louisiana to the late Noel Lester and Martha Susan Welch Franklin. She was the oldest of eight children. A resident of Fort Worth since 1942, she was the secretary for the president of Mitchell's Department Store and a member of University Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Leila was preceded in death by her husband, Carvil Dean Due.
Survivors: Her children, Lester Dean Due and Lanita Keith and her husband, Dr. Donald Keith; grandchildren, Dean and Wayne Keith; brothers, Paul and Kenneth Franklin; sister, La Juan Johnson; nieces and nephews.
