Zach Franklin was born to Lizzie Neal "Skipper" Franklin and F.E. Franklin. Zach's mother, was referred to as "Neal". She was the oldest child of William James Skipper (1849-1938) and Martha A Lucas Skipper (1855-1941).
Neal's parents and five sisters are buried in this same cemetery. Neal's sisters were:
Ada F Skipper Morrow,
Mary Molly Skipper Slack,
Mattie Adeline Skipper Bates,
Addie Mae Skipper Nettles,
Annie Jane Skipper McCoy.
Her brother, James William (Jimmy) Skipper, is buried at Springhill Cemetery.
Jimmy married Arrie D. Franklin, Neal's step-daughter.
Maggie Skipper Shepherd burial place is unknown to me at the time of this post.

Zack served in WW II. After his tour was complete, he returned home where he became a professional fisherman and guide. April 27th, 1945 Zack was fishing alone on Lake Bistineau, Ringgold La. When he failed to return home, it became apparent something was wrong. Family and friends discovered his overturned boat. Zack had drown, due to apoplexy which is unconsciousness resulting from a cerebral hemorrhage or stroke. He was 41 years old.
