Former Teacher Died Suddenly in Hospital

Mrs. Mildred Sanders Rasmussen died shortly after midnight at the Miami Inspiration Hospital. She was formerly a teacher in the Galena Vista schools.
Mrs. Rasmussen' health had been failing since the birth of a son about 5 months ago. She left the hospital recently and returned to her home and later was ordered back to that institution.

Born in Kansas:
The former Miami teacher was born in Kansas November 18, 1900. Besides the husband, Edmund F. Rasmussen, Ace employee of the Miami Inspiration Copper Company, and the infant son, she is survived by her parents and a sister in Oklahoma and a brother in Texas.

The Rasmussens were united in marriage here on October 11, 1927. They have since remained in this community. Her family home is No. 85, Inspiration townsite.

Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of the Miles Mortuary, are pending the arrival of relatives.

Additional note: Altho not named in the newspaper obit - the son did survive and was named Edmond Fredrick Rasmussen, Jr.
