Mrs. Pearl Thompson Wright, 64, of the Saloma community in Taylor County, daughter of the late Mr. James Thompson and Mrs. Amanda Price Thompson, was born in Taylor County, February 23, 1905. She died at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg Friday morning, May 16th [1969] after a long illness. Mrs. Wright was of the Holiness Faith. She united in marriage to Mr. Clayton Wright, November 15, 1922 and to this union six daughters and two sons were born. Surviving are: Mrs. Ned (Kathleen) Beams and Mrs. Olyn (Barbara) Graham, both of Campbellsville; Mrs. Hershel (Thelma) Hash of Campbellsville, Route 4; Mr. Donald Wright and Mrs. Phillip (Nancy) Gilpin both of Campbellsville, Route 2; Mr. Keith Wright and Mrs. David (Linda) Thompson, both of Campbellsville, Star Route. Besides her husband and children, she is survived by eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers and one sister: Mr. Lonnie Thompson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mr. Jimmy Thompson and Mrs. Stanley (Berdie) Reynolds, both of Campbellsville, Route 2; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, May 18th at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Elder Herbert Martin. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Keith and Donald Wright, Ned Beams, Hershel Hash, Olyn Graham, Phillip Gilpin and David Thompson.
