Bonnie Jean (Flint) Jones "Our Cowboy's Sweetheart"

At age 75 Bonnie returned home to her father in heaven surrounded by her loving family. She was the 4th of 6 children born to Hector Jefferies Flint and Thelma Bennett Flint with her brother and sisters: Eloise (Lee) Robins, Reed Bennett (Kay) Flint, Beth (Larry) Lawrence, Maurine (Jay) Higgs, and Linda (Lou) Neerings. Bonnie was a graduate of Davis High School and also attended Weber College.
Bonnie grew up with her three best friends: Hana, Donna, and Erma; they spent many great times together and continued their friendship throughout her life. Through her relationship with her father, Hector, she became an excellent horseman and grew to love being with her father and the horses, especially at the horse shows. She fostered this talent and was crowned Ogden Pioneer Days Royalty in 1954. Bonnie was able to share her love of horses with her sweetheart of 62 years, Curtis D. Jones, and their 6 sons: Jeff (Julie), Charles (Kim), Curtis (Marci), Tony (Tresa), Jim (Pattie), and Jonathan (Beverlee). She was also blessed with 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, who she thought "hung the moon." Bonnie was a member of the LDS Church and loved her Father in Heaven.
Bonnie won a courageous battle with cancer; through her personal strength and tenacity she was able to continue her family tradition of Sunday morning breakfast for her family. She was a beautiful, sweet wife and mother who always had hugs for her family. Bonnie built a wonderful life in Morgan Valley, ranching and farming. She knew the value of hard work, as she fed the hay crew for years; people who worked on the farm still remember the great meals served on the lawn of her home in Richville. Bonnie was not a "frilly" grandma and was best at mending fences, gathering farm supplies, driving trucks, hauling hay, and any other job that needed doing. Bonnie even continued, until the last two years, to drag calves to the fire for branding. Bonnie, we love you so very much and we will always hold your memories safe in our hearts. Sweet dreams cowgirl! Wow, what a ride!
The Family greeted visitors Wednesday, April 18th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at the Porterville LDS Church at 2700 S. Morgan Valley Dr. in Morgan, Utah. Burial was at the South Morgan Cemetery.
