1910 Nov - Moved into parsonage with bachelor son, Rev. Charles Bounds, when he came to serve the Methodist Episcopal Church in Greenville.

For Many Years Engaged in Pulpit Work of Methodists

Greenville, Tex., Nov. 8 -- Rev. D. H. Bounds, 71 years of age, for many years a minister and pastor in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, died at 12:25 o'clock this morning at the home of his son, Rev. Charles L. Bounds pastor of the Lee Street Methodist Church, Greenville. Mr. Bounds was born in Calhoun County, Mississippi. He served in various pastorates in North Texas until conference last year, when he was superannuated.
About one month ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis while attended a Confederate reunion at Beaumont. He served in the Confederate Army throughout the war. He came to Texas in 1875. Deceased is survived by his wife and four children.
