Her parents were Harry and Augusta Krick who brought Joy and her four siblings to Southern California in 1922. Joy lived in Corona her entire life. She married Dale Berner in 1939. They raised their 4 children on West Tenth Street. Many happy days were spent there by the family. Dale passed away in 1996. Joy remained in the home she and Dale built until 2002 when she became a resident of Crown Pointe. Joy enjoyed spending time with her family which included 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She worked for Corona Unified School District as a Purchasing Agent from 1956-1976. Her beautiful smile and delightful sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
