Mr. Franklin was born and reared in Burlington and was former owner of the Oasis Supper Club and Motel, south of Burlington on US 61. He was a member of the Des Moines Lodge No. 1 AF&AM, St. Omar Commandery No. 15 Knights Templar of Burlington, Royal Arch Masons of Iowa, and the Elks clubs of Burlington and Orlando.
Surviving: His wife; Mrs. Audrey Franklin; one brother, Ross, Casselberry, Fla.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Seminole funeral home, Altamonte Springs, Fla.; burial in Winter Park. Fla.
