BEALS - Dawn Euda (Marcoux) Mossler, 44, died Sept. 7, 2006, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. after a long illness. Her husband of 14 years, U.S. Air Force Maj. William R. "Bill" Mossler, was by her side when she passed away. Dawn was born Dec. 1, 1961 in Ellsworth, the daughter of Charles "Eddie" and Amanda (Alley) Marcoux.
Dawn spent her entire childhood and youth on Beals Island and graduated from Jonesport-Beals High School, Class of 1980. After their marriage in 1992, Bill and Dawn were stationed at a number of Air Force bases around the country, including Keesler in MS, Pope in NC, Wright-Patterson in OH, Hanscom in MA and most recently Bolling in Washington, D.C. She continued her career as a bank teller until her health prevented her from working. She battled bowel and lung disease for a number of years.
Dawn is survived by her husband Bill; her mother Amanda Marcoux of Beals; a brother Carl of Lubec; a sister Theresa Leighton and her husband Tony of Grandview, MO; nephew Adam Merchant and his wife Andrea of Beals and children Camon, Cadon and Evan; niece Stacie Alley of Hancock and children Austin and Madison; nephew Mason Merchant and his wife Jessica of Jonesport and daughter Cheyenna; parents-in-law Michael and LouAnn Mossler of Weeks Mills; sister-in-law Laurie Mossler of Carlisle, PA; brother-in-law Mark Mossler and his wife Renee of Rowley, MA, and children Alyssa, Anna and Alivia; special friends Chuck and Tracy Rockwell of Lithia, FL; many aunts, uncles, cousins and other beloved relatives and dear friends. She was predeceased by her father Eddie Marcoux.
Services will be held at the Jonesport Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Ass'n or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
