RAVENDEN SPRINGS -- Millard Bailey, 90, of Ravenden Springs died Monday, Dec. 13, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Yadkin, he was a retired teacher, school administrator and rancher and a member of Ravenden Springs Church of Christ, where he served as treasurer from the 1940s-2004.

Survivors include his wife, Miriam Rickman Bailey of Ravenden Springs; a son, Bill Bailey of Pocahontas; a daughter, Carol Bailey Killion of Pocahontas; four grandchildren, Deborah Killion of Pocahontas, Brenda Killion Cooper of Conway, Lisa Bailey DeYoung of Sachse, Texas, and Brian Bailey of Jonesboro, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Julia Bowen Bailey.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ravenden Springs Church of Christ, with Neil Inness officiating. Burial will follow in Janes Cemetery at Ravenden under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas.

Pallbearers will be J.B. Welch, Robert Reese, John Reese, Glenn Bailey, Philip DeYoung, Steve Cooper, Brian Bailey and the men of Ravenden Springs Church of Christ.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
