Mayme Barnhill passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 18, 2012. She was 98 years old. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Friday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Mayme was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Hubbard. She married N.W. "Barney" Barnhill on Feb. 18, 1939, and they spent the next 71 years of their lives together. Mayme enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting and playing golf. She loved all of her family dearly, but especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mayme was preceded in death by her husband, N.W. "Barney" Barnhill.
Survivors: Daughters, Nancy Kearney and husband, Cecil, and Linda Hatcher and husband, Woody; brother, Buster Redding; grandchildren, Randy Hatcher, Laura Lambert, Kisa Kearney and Paul Kearney; and seven great-grandchildren.
