Ernie enjoyed fishing in his boat and spending time with his family on Sundays keeping the go-karts running. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends.

Ernie Kohland of Felton died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, in his home. He was 51.

Mr. Kohland was born in Milford, son of Ernest and Mary (Butler) Kohland of Harrington. He lived most of his life between Felton and Harrington.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam on the USS Vreeland.

He worked as a truck driver for many years. Recently he had been employed by R.E. Pierson Construction of Millville, N.J. Mr. Kohland was a member of Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge 760.

In addition to his parents, his is survived by his wife of 27 years, Vicki (Benton) Kohland of Harrington; seven children, Lucky Kohland, Tammy Connors and Tanya Baughman, all of Harrington, Theresa Tatman of Greenwood, Tonya Kohland and Ernie Kohland II, both of Felton, and Crystal Kohland of Minnesota; a brother, Dale Kohland of Harrington; a sister, Sandra Stoltzman of Iowa; and 13 grandchildren.
