Alice Marie Korschot Vanderkleed, 75, formerly of Lafayette, died at 12:25 PM Monday, Sept. 23, 1985, in Park West Hospital, Knoxville, TN. She was born March 14, 1910, in Lafayette and lived here until three years ago when she moved to the home of her daughter. Her marriage was May 12, 1931, in Lafayette, to Clarence W. Vanderkleed. He was a clerk at Fairfield Mfg. Co., and preceded her in death Nov. 17, 1974.

Mrs. Vanderkleed was secretary for Dr. Waits and Dr. Carpenter for several years. She was a member of Lafayette Christian Reformed Church, Ladies Aid of the church and Lafayette Christian School Society.

Surviving are a daughter, Judy (Mrs. Garry) Roorda of Knoxville, TN; three grandsons, Steven, Michael, and Douglas Roorda; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Benjamin Calvin Korschot of Lees Summit, MO; and three sisters, Mary (Mrs. Cornelius) Grond of Grants Pass, OR, Mrs. Johanna Rhoda of Logansport, and Ruth (Mrs. Arthur) Smith of Tucson, AZ. Services Sept. 26 at Hippensteel Chapel, the Rev. L. Bryce Monsink officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
