Manor after a lengthy illness. Born Jan. 20, 1920, in Greene County, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Dola (Ontis) Cope. She was owner/operator of a restaurant in San Diego for 35 years. She married Clifford Maples in Tijuana, Mexico, in December 1946. He died in
July 1990. Surviving are nieces and nephews, George "Bud" Wadlow of Jerseyville, Susan
Schmidt of Jerseyville, Thelma Moore of Flint, Mich., Peggy Ridenbark of Fieldon, Robert
Overmeyer of Caseyville, Wesley Gunterman of Cross, S.C., Pam Coppinger of Alton and Jim Cope of Brighton, Colo. She was preceded in death
by two sisters, Irene Wadlow and Gracie Gunterman, and a brother, Jim Cope. Private services will be at Fieldon Cemetery.
