Mesquite Child Dies in Hospital
Max Erwin Hughes, six year old son of Donald and LaVema Jean Holt Hughes of Mesquite, Nevada, passed away in the hospital of virus pneumonia after a short Illness at 7:30 p. m. Saturday. He was born in St George Feb. 6, 1955 and was attending kindergarten in Mesquite, Nev., this winter. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, Howard Jay, grandparents, Mr and Mrs. Sylvan Hughes of Mesquite and Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Holt of Sevier, Utah; and great grandfather, Harmon Wittwer of Bunkerville, Nev. Graveside services were held at Mesquite at noon on Tuesday under the direction of the Mesquite ward bishopric. Burial was under the direction of the Cannon Funeral home of this city.
