Mr. Donald L. Andrew, Sr. 69, of Thurmont, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Crystal Stine Andrew, his wife of 27 years.
Born August 19, 1942 in Frederick County, Maryland he was the son of the late Clarance and Edith Alexander Andrew.
Mr. Andrew was employed in construction most of his life, retiring from W.F. Delauter & Son. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family, grandkids, great grandkids and his friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Donald Andrew, Jr. of Emmitsburg, Dawn Cool and husband Brian of Waynesboro, PA, David Andrew, Sr. and wife Debbie of Thurmont, Frank Mercer,Jr. and wife Jennifer of Keymar, Dawn Finneyfrock and husband Keith of Thurmont, Timothy Mercer of Waynesboro, PA and Kimberly Shipton and husband David of Thurmont, fifteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nine sisters and six brothers. He was preceded in death by two brothers Martin and Edward Andrew.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home,104 E. Main Street, Thurmont on Monday, March 26,from2-4and7-9pm, where services will be held Tuesday, March 27, at 10:00 am with Pastor John Greenstone officiating.IntermentBlueRidge Cemetery.
