Mary Jane is initially found living at Freeburg, St. Clair Co., Illinois with with her mother, Emma and father, William Pollett on the 1880 US Census.

Mary Jane is living at South McAlester, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, Oklahoma with daughters, Tena (Tenie) and Emma as well as a boarder, Charles Tyner (who becomes her second husband) on the 1900 US Census.

Mary Jane later moved to Stockton, San Joaquin Co., California where her 1948 Death Certificate names William Pollett as her adoptive father.

Records indicate Mary Jane was likely married three times: first to Harry Hambleton (probably in Oklahoma, based on daughters' birthplace), second to Charles W Tyner (probably in Oklahoma) and third to James J Dixon (California).

The 1940 US Census shows Mary Jane's marital status as "Widowed," so James died before then.

Mary Jane had two known daughters: Tenie Arabella Hambleton and Emma June (or Emma Jane) whose 1955 CA Death Certificate gives her mother's maiden name as Mary Jane Richards. The California record of Emma's second marriage gives her mother's name as Mary Jane Richard.

The informant on Mary Jane's Death Certificate was her daughter, Mrs. Tenie Troy.
---------------

William Pollett linked as father but was actually adoptive father of Mary.
