Resident of Martinez
Passed away on May 21, 2011, from complications of diabetes at age 73. He was born in Indiana and raised in Southern California. He graduated from community college before entering the U.S. Navy where he served from 1959-1963.
He was married for 46 years to Judy and lived in Martinez since 1971. They have two children, Stephen (Leslie) and Theresa, and 3 grandsons.
Bill worked most of his life in computer operations and retired in 2004. He has been a Mason since 1970 He belonged to Orinda Lodge No. 122 F.& A.M, East Bay York Rite, Oakland Scottish Rite, and Aames Shrine among other Masonic organizations. He recently became active in the American Legion Post 29 in Martinez where he served as Scribe. He was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church. He will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. If you wish, donations in his memory may be made to Aames Shrine Children's Hospital, c/o Aames Shrine, 170 Lindbergh Ave., Livermore, CA 94551 or American Legion Post 29, 930 Ward Street, Martinez, CA 94553.
