ROSS ARISMAN DIES AT HIS HOME
Death Culminates Illness of About a Year
Ross W. Arisman, lifelong resident of Macon and Macon County passed away Monday evening, September 15, 1941 at 10:45 o'clock at his farm home, south of Axtel, following a recent illness of one month and a lingering illness of almost one year.
Mr. Arisman was born November 11, 1872, near Macon, the son of Stephen and Martha Arisman and was one of 6 children. At the time of his death he was 68 years, 10 months and four days old.
He is survived by three brothers, Hiram of North Dakota; Charley of Los Angeles, Cal.; and Otis Grant of Colorado. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ollie and Stella, and by his wife, the late Callie Burns Arisman, who passed away October 25, 1939.
The deceased also had four living cousins, Mrs. Eva Butler, south of Macon, Curt H. Winters of Mansfield Ohio; Arthur Winters of Rocky Ford, Colo., and Fred and Frank Winters of north of Macon and he also leaves a host of close relatives and friends.
Mr. Arisman was a member of the First Christian Church of Macon and spent his entire life farming and the last number of years was an active special agent for the Equitable Live Assurance Society of the United States.
Mr Arisman was prominent in Masonic circles and was a past master of Censer Lodge No. 172, A F, and A. M., of Macon.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Christian Church conduct ed by the pastor, the Rev. Kring Allen and burial will be made in Oakwood Cemetery by the side of his wife.
The body will lie in state at Stephens and Goodding Funeral Home until the funeral hour, when it will be moved to the church.
