Le Roy Morgan, ex-Judge of the Supreme Court of this state, who died at Syracuse on Saturday, was an eminent lawyer and jurist. He served sixteen years on the Supreme Bench, where he displayed marked ability. He was a Democrat in early life, but joined the Republican party on its organization. As a practicing lawyer he has been connected with many important cases, and was a leading counsel in the celebrated Jerry rescue case. He was a native of Onondaga county and has been a resident of Syracuse since 1851. He was about 70 years of age. Albany Journal
