Virgie Irene Dimmitt, 88, of Ottumwa Route 1 died at 9:37 a.m. July 26, at St. Joseph Hospital.
She was born June 3, 1891, to John and Carrie Wheaton Molesworth. She lived in Wapello County most of her life. She was affiliated with Blakesburg Methodist Church. She married Carl Dimmitt on May 28, 1913, at Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. He died in 1976.
Survivors: a daughter, Mrs. Olin Roberts of Ottumwa, and sisters Ethel Messer of Hedrick and Rena Wycoff of Ottumwa.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Jay Funeral Home, the Rev. Jerry McGee of Agency Methodist Church officiating. Burial: Agency Cemetery.
