Thomas Stonewall Kyle was the son of Colonel Robert Benjamin Kyle and his second wife, Mary Virginia Nuckolls Kyle. He was the husband of Susan "Sudie" Murphy Kyle.

Their children were:

(1) Robert Bartlett Kyle (he married Ruth Pettit)

(2) William Conrad Kyle (Apr 12, 1891-Aug 15, 1897)

(note: On Oct. 13, 1887, I received a suggestion that there was a man named Thomas Kyle in the Gadsden Times; Oct. 1887, and he was on a board at the First National Bank. This is posted, because it was a suggestion; I can not back up it's accuracy, due to no access to that newspaper, but others may want to research it to see if it pertains to Thomas Stonewall Kyle or to another Thomas Kyle. )
