Mrs. Bishop passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Russell Medical. She was born on November 14, 1929 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Sherley Lovedy Hutcherson and Lowell Shivers Hutcherson. She was a member of Comer Memorial United Methodist Church. She worked as a hair stylist for many years and owned and operated Your Beauty Shop. She worked well into her 70’s before she retired and was always a hard worker. She enjoyed gardening and made the best jellies and preserves. Mrs. Bishop was a very giving person that adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Howard H. Bishop, Jr. (Teresa) of Alexander City; grandchildren, Fran B. Arnold (William), Beth B. Massey (Brent), and Michael Bishop; great-grandchild, Olivia B. Massey; sisters, LaRue Spates of New Site, Virginia Sue Dunning (Robbie Gene) of Alexander City, Shirley A. Small of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Linda Dykes (Donald) of Alexander City; and a host of nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard H. Bishop, Sr.; her parents; and sister, Helen Oliver.
