Son of Chauncey Lawrence "Chancey" Hill and his wife Penelope Reynolds. Grandson of Isaac Hill, III and Elizabeth Parks.

Husband of Mary Electa Losee.

Father of John L. Hill, DDS.

Died in Walton, Greene, NY.

Friday, June 28, 1912 Catskill Recorder -

In Memoriam.

Entered in rest, Washington Hill, on June 21st, aged seventy-eight years. The funeral was held in Urlton at the Hill Homestead on Sunday, the Rev. J. Smith of Grapeville officiating; interment in Gayhead cemetery. For the past year Mr. Hill had been in failing health, and the end came peacefully last Friday from heart failure.

Fruitless Is the attempt to measure the loss of so noble a husband and father, and I believe his place In the better land will rank among the highest. Washington Hill was an every-day Christian—a man respected and steemed by all, with the beautifying influence of religion spread over his entire life. As such he was a benefactor to all, and his death Is a public misfortune, as well as an Irreparable loss to the home circle made desolate by his departure.

He leaves a widow (whose maiden name was Mary Electa Losee), one daughter and a son, as well as four brothers and two sisters, who are variously located in Minnesota, Missouri and Kansas, all younger than the
deceased.
