Mildred L. Wilson Conn, 85, of Lakeland, FL and formerly of Hot Springs, AR and Onarga passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL.
Mildred was born December 29, 1926 in Helena, AR, a daughter of Howard Wesley and Mildred Smith Wilson. She married Leslie V. Conn on June 23, 1946 in Onarga and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2002.
Surviving are one son, Richard (Cindy Smith) Conn of Lorton, VA; two daughters, Margie (John) Harvey of Polk City, FL and Sheila (John) Pletcher of Stoughton, WI; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Conn of Raleigh, NC, Jenna Conn of Wilmington, NC, Mary Ann Bruce of Chattanooga, TN, Kevin O'Connor of Soddy Daisy, TN, Rachel Vance of Smyrna, TN, Justin Pletcher of Graham, WA and Matt Pletcher of Marshall, WI; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Onarga United Methodist Church. Rev. Elizabeth Reis will officiate. Burial will be in the Onarga Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Onarga United Methodist Church or Hot Springs First United Methodist Church.
