William Robert Donaldson, age 83, a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, died at his home Monday, April 16, 2012, surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice, following a brief battle with cancer. Mr. Donaldson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, proudly and honorably serving his country for four years during the Korean Conflict. Donaldson (Sherri); two daughters: Doris Deal (Carson) and Sandra Dickey (Kenny); seven grandchildren: Kevin Deal (Wendy), Amy Alderman (Ashley), Lindsey Glisson (Jeremy), Kimberly Rollins (Garnie), Andy Donaldson, Adam Donaldson (Abby), and Ashley Hagan (Aaron); and thirteen great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers: James Donaldson (Nan) of Savannah, GA, George Huey Donaldson (Bonnie) and Harold Donaldson; two sisters, Sarah Waters and Rebecca Nessmith, all of Statesboro; several nieces and nephews also survive.
