MICHAEL ANDRE BETHUNE, 38, of Jersey City, formerly of ABERDEEN, died Saturday, May 22, as the result of a tragic accident at Fort Dix. He was the youngest son of four children. He attended the Aberdeen Public School System and was an avid athlete. He participated on the golf, football, and wrestling teams. He graduated from Matawan Regional High School in 1983. He was employed by AFI Food Distribution, Elizabeth. He was also the owner/operator of Big Wheels, Inc., Jersey City.
He was predeceased by his mother, Nora Bethune. Surviving are his wife of five years, Rhonda Renee Ripley; two daughters, Heather Bethune of Matawan, and Mikyla Jolie Bethune of Jersey City; his father, Theodore Bethune of Cliffwood; two brothers, Theodore Bethune Jr. of Eatontown, and Jon Steven Bethune of Cliffwood; a sister, Millicent Bethune of Cliffwood; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
