Harold Phillip Schwindt
Harold Phillip Schwindt, the son of Phillip and Antonia Schwindt, was born at LaCrosse, December 9, 1912, and died February 22, 1953, at the age of 40 years, 2 months and 13 days.
He attended the LaCrosse grade school and lived with his parents at their home during his entire life except for his service in the Army. He was in the Infantry from April 1942 until December 1945, serving most of that time in the South Pacific. He also served with the Army Engineers in Korea from September 1950, until September 1951.
His father and two brothers preceded him in death.
His survivors are his mother, Mrs. Phillip Schwindt; four brothers, Carlos and Elton, of the home; Arthur in the Navy; and Edward in the Army; two sisters, Mrs. Woodrow Simmerman, Wenatchee, Wash., and Mr.s Harry Horyna, Burdett; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Feb. 26 at the Christian Church, LaCrosse, with Rev. Harold D. Platt officiating. Burial was in the LaCrosse Cemetery. Graveside services were conducted by the local post of American Legion and V.F. W.
