Mrs. Mary Frances Morgan, 81, died Sunday unexpectedly (April 15, 2012) at Satilla Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Waycross and after years of living in other places, she returned in 1980 to make Waycross her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Roy Colvin, Sr. and Emma Lucille Altman Colvin and a sister, Betty Ruth Barker.
She was retired from Belk's and was a former employee of the Waycross Journal-Herald and Aero Jet General in California. She was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church, the Greenthumb and Pinecone Garden Club. She was a former member of the Waycross Woman's Club. She was known for her beautiful roses and she donated them for many special occasions.
Survivors include her husband, John W. Morgan of Waycross; three sisters, Carol Deloris Cockrell of Gainesville, FL, Jacquelyn Hall (husband J.C.) of Blackshear, Martha Sue Adams (husband Tony) of Bent Tree, GA; a brother, William Roy Colvin, Jr. (wife Nadine) of Waycross; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (April 18, 2012) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10 until 11.
