Hellam, Margaret M. Hershberger, 71, entered into rest at 3:23 a.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at her home. She was the loving wife of Larry F. Hershberger, Sr. The couple celebrated 53 years of marriage on September 23, 2015.
Born February 11, 1944 in York, she was a daughter of the late Pershing H. and Margaret M. (Albert) McCaffery.
Margaret had worked for Brunner's Home Furnishings in Lancaster.
She was a member of St. Stephen's U.C.C. in York.
Margaret enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and was a member of the Road Voyager and Retreads Motorcycle Clubs.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Larry F. Hershberger, Jr. and wife, Mary of Wrightsville; a daughter, Ann M. Linn and husband, Kirk of Dover; five grandchildren, Tiana Kinard, Brittanney and Michael Hershberger, Katie and Jon Linn; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda R. Spangler of Dover; and a brother, Pershing H. McCaffery, Jr. of York.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Margaret's funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2015 at St. Stephen's U.C.C., 1569 W. Market St., York. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Arthur Grahe. Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is in charge of arrangements.
