JOSEPHINE M. GUTWALD
Of Front St., Cresson, died at 8 p.m. yesterday in the Mercy Hospital, after a lengthy illness. She was born on Sept. 9, 1903, in Frugality, a daughter of Charles and Catherine (Brandt) Conrad, and married Clyde Gutwald, who died in 1939. Surviving are a son, Harold of Weirton, W. Va.; five grandchildren, and four sisters and brothers, Mrs. Mary Plazek of Cresson, Carl, Mrs. Florence Jones and Mrs. Mildred Johnson, all of Weirton, W. Va. She was a member of the Sankertown V.F.W. Auxiliary and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Cresson. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today at the home of her sister, Mrs. Plazek, in Cresson.
