Lived all his life in Deer Grove. Married to the former Delores Taets, in Florida. Owned and operated taverns in Tampico and Yorktown. Also self-employed as a heavy equipment operator for many years. Member of Sterling Moose Lodge No. 726. Survivors include his wife, Delores; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Shirley) Berge, Sterling, Mrs. Lawrence (Patricia) Zitkus, Kirkland, Mrs. Robert (Carol) LeVoy, Belvidere; a son, Joe Hamblock, Rockford; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Tom (Melodie) Fritsch, Tampico.
Services at 10:30 a.m. Monday in GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, Tampico, with the Rev. Thomas Risley, pastor of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Rock Falls, officiating. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Tampico.
