She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Litha Ellen Wheet Green of Adair Co. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Preston Hadley on May 9, 1984.
She is survived by three daughters: Ovaline Thornsbury of Chaplin, KY, Caroline Spoon of Columbia, KY, Catherine Hadley and her husband, Dwight of Fairplay, KY; one son, Clinis Hadley and his wife Billie of Glensfork, KY; two daughters-in-law: Jeanie Hadley of Glensfork, KY and Harriet Hadley of Columbia; and one sister, Middie Patterson of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, seven step-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew and friends. Three special friends, Sarah Reliford, Marie Grant and Dorothy Parnell also survive.
She was preceded in death by three sons: Clayton Hadley Sr., Clay Hadley, Claudus Hadley; an infant great granddaughter: Ellen Spoon; one son-in-law, Ernest Spoon; one brother, Sanford Green; two sisters: Christine Adkins and Ruby Fox; three half-brothers, Walter Green, Eldia Green, Virgil Green; and three half sisters, Lottie Foley, Verdie Green and Hallie Green.
Mrs. Hadley was a member of the Union Chapel Church and was a homemaker. Her hobby was tending her flower garden.
Funeral service was held Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 3:30 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Bunch and Bro. Ralph Hadley officiating.
Interment in the McClister Cemetery at Fairplay, KY.
