Ninth of nine children of Christian Lawrence (Lorentz) & Anna Maria "Mary" Hotz of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She migrated from Philadelphia west to Cincinnati with her older brother William and his family in 1831.
Elizabeth married Thomas Lindsay on July 24, 1835, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was the mother of seven children including her eldest child Mary C. Lindsay born 1836.
