*E.W. Lindsey's maternal grandmother, Nancy R. [Walling] Simpson's parents (his great-grandparents) were also pioneer Texans who lived in & around the Nacogdoches County area...Their names were John W. Walling, Sr. (born about 1775 & died about 1841) and Mrs. Anna [Chisum] Walling (born about 1777 & died about 1832).
